Sunday 12th August
British Motor Museum, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire, CV35 0BJ
A very successful event that we will definitely be attending again next year!
We set off from Renaissance Classics at 05:45 in the rain, with a full complement of straight six engine BMWs. A desirable Z3M with great investment potential, which was trailered, an E46 M3 in carbon black with kiwi leather, a stunning colour combination, manual gearbox and only 48K miles, an E46 330Ci SE with a mere 37K miles, and our AC Schnitzer demonstrator, M140i ACS1, full conversion undertaken in our own workshop in Ripley., Surrey.
Upon reaching Gaydon, the weather didn’t seem to have dampened spirits or affected attendance, we set up our stand before tucking into to an excellent cooked breakfast.
The site was well organized with particular models grouped together.
We were situated outside the main entrance to the museum so footfall was good, with a great mix of owners, from purists through to tasteful modders.
Great work for our Porsche technician, Jack, who couldn’t find his cufflinks the morning of the climb! (Photo below!!)
There were plenty of enthusiasts on the lookout for that next special purchase. All our vehicles received considerable attention (especially the pristine 330Ci SE). The visit generated solid leads that have resulted in two proud new owners of Bavaria’s finest straight six engine vehicles.
